ATV club to serve pancake breakfast in Unity

UNITY, Maine — The Thorndike Trail Blazers ATV Club will host a pancake breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Monday, May 30, at the Unity House of Pizza on Main Street in Unity.The cost of breakfast is $5. Come for breakfast before or after the Unity Memorial Day Parade, which starts at 9 a.m. For more information, call 992-4714.

Alexander Cemetery walk planned May 28

ALEXANDER, Maine — John Dudley, of the Alexander Crawford Historical Society, will lead a walk at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at the Alexander Cemetery. He will visit the graves of Civil War soldiers and decorate each as was done years ago. All are welcome with a rain date of Sunday at the same time.  For more information, call John at 454-7476.

Lamoine Grange to host turkey dinner June 5

LAMOINE, Maine — The Lamoine Grange will host a turkey dinner at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at the Grange hall. The menu includes roast turkey, stuffing, assorted pies and beverages. The price is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Proceeds support the Grange programs and building maintenance fund. for more information, call Charles at 667-7559.

Seeds, seedlings swap June 18 in Ellsworth

ELLSWORTH, Maine — Woodlawn, in partnership with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program, will offer a Seeds and Seedlings Swap from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 18, at Woodlawn.

The event is free of charge. However, donations to help Woodlawn develop more programs are greatly appreciated. Call Woodlawn at 667-8671 or email events@woodlawnmuseum.org for details.
