Children’s librarian retiring from Bangor Public Library

Updated:

BANGOR, Maine — Anne Mundy, head of the Children’s Department at the Bangor Public Library, will be retiring June 1 after thirty years of service. She taught kindergarten and Head Start before joining the library in 1980. She was appointed head of the Children’s Department in 1991 where she expanded library programming to reach every age level. She is looking forward to spending more time with her grandchildren, reading, working in her garden and taking piano lessons. She will be greatly missed by all.
