BANGOR, Maine — About 600 Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. customers in Costigan, Greenbush, Greenfield and Grand Falls Plantation will be affected by an interruption in electric service from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday, May 25, as crews make upgrades to the electric system, the utility said.

Areas affected include Greenfield Road and all roads off Greenfield Road as well as Route 2 from about one mile north of Greenfield Road up to but not including French Settlement Road.

An earlier news brief incorrectly said electric service would be interrupted on Thursday as well. Thursday is the rain date for the interruption.
