BUCKSPORT, Maine — A local woman is in fair condition at a Bangor hospital after being ejected from a sport utility vehicle Thursday afternoon, according to officials.
Jessica Ormsby, 30, was driving a 2003 Jeep on Route 46 at approximately 2:20 p.m. when she lost control of the SUV, according to the Bucksport Police Department. Ormsby was ejected from the vehicle after it went off the road and then rolled several times as it crashed through the adjacent woods, police said Friday. Ormsby was the only person in the Jeep and no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Ormbsy was transported by ambulance from the accident scene to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, according to local police.
A hospital spokeswoman said Friday afternoon that Ormsby remained at the hospital in fair condition.
Further details about the accident were unavailable Friday. The accident is still under investigation by local police, according to a dispatcher with the Bucksport Public Safety Department.
