DENNYSVILLE, Maine — The annual Memorial Day Observance in Dennysville will begin at 8:30 a.m. Monday, May 30, at the Dennysville-Edmunds Congregational Church consisting of a prayer, patriotic hymns, story of a veteran, and the reading of the names of Revolutionary War veterans. The parade will form in the churchyard and will process to the Dennysville Cemetery with stops at the monument, the Upper Bridge, and at the cemetery. At the monument, a wreath will be laid, prayers given, a patriotic hymn sung, and the names of Civil War veterans read. At the Upper Bridge, a wreath will be cast into the Dennys River, the Navy Hymn will be sung, a prayer given, and the names of Spanish-American War veterans and those of World War I veterans will be read. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

BLUE HILL. Maine — The Marine Environmental Research Institute announces the second year of Coastal Science Junior Intern Program for high school students ages 14-18 years old. The internship is a two-week program that runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Session 1 runs July 18-29 and session 2 runs Aug. 1-12. The fee is $250. Walk for Life to combat cancer Saturday in Addison
