Charity contest winner in Belfast

Jeremiah King was the children’s class winner of the top award in the Charity Contest sponsored by the social justice committee of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Belfast. The subject of the contest was “The Relationship of War, Peace and Poverty.” Entries had to be in the form of essays, poems, stories or works of art. Jeremiah won a $50 gift certificate to The Planet store. He picked out a gift for himself and another to be given to a child at Waldo County General Hospital.
