Burger King armed robbery has police seeking help in Auburn

AUBURN, Maine — The investigation into an armed robbery at a local fast food restaurant continued Sunday as police released a description of the suspect.

Detectives with the Auburn Police Department continued their search for a suspect wanted in connection with a Saturday night armed robbery at the Burger King on Center Street. According to police, the suspect entered the restaurant at 8:12 p.m. Saturday, displayed a handgun, took money from the cash register and fled from the building on foot.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Police searched the area Saturday night but were unable to locate a suspect. No one was injured during the incident, which remains under investigation.
