Collaborative art exhibit to open at Rockland center

ROCKLAND — Lincoln Street Center, 24 Lincoln St., will host “A Moment in Time” art exhibition 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through May 30. An opening reception will be held 2-5 p.m. Saturday, May 21, in the Jean B. Chalmers Art Gallery. Refreshments will be provided. A tea party will be held 1-5 p.m. Friday, May 27.

“A Moment in Time” is a collaborative art show representing six Maine artists specializing in six different media. Each artist expresses the theme with intriguing creativity in two and three-dimensional pieces.

Participants are painter Rainy Brooks of Searsport, fiber artist Deborah Diemer of Freedom, photographer and poet Betsy Headley of Belfast, fabric artist Amy Nichols, felt wool sculptor Bob Nichols of Brooks, and stucco sculptor Richard Whittier of Liberty.
