BANGOR, Maine — Old Navy and TerraCycle are partnering in “The Flip-flop Replay” recycle program to build community playgrounds through May 21 at Old Navy, 480 Stillwater Ave. in Bangor. Bluegrass concert scheduled in Orono
ORONO, Maine — The 2011 Bluegrass Special Session final concert will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at Keith Anderson Community Center, Bennoch Road in Orono. Bangor voters to have say in table games
BANGOR, Maine — Bangor voters will be asked to weigh in before gamblers at Hollywood Slots are able to ante up if a bill endorsed by a legislative committee Friday wins the approval of the House and Senate.
LD 1418, sponsored by Rep. Douglas Damon, D-Bangor, would allow the Bangor slots facility to operate table games such as poker, craps, roulette and black jack.
John Osborne, the general manager of Hollywood Slots, said the Bangor facility would add 14 table games and more than 65 employees. He predicted those games would generate $5.3 million in annual revenue, about $850,000 of which would go into state coffers.
