Transportation meeting continues in Waldo County

BELFAST, Maine — Do you care about getting around in Belfast and Waldo County?  Do you have ideas or want to be part of solutions? With budget cuts proposed and looming, we aren’t just sitting back and letting this happen to our community. We are taking action and you can join us.

More than 40 people met May 5 to explore options for expanding transportation alternatives for people in Waldo County. The group will reconvene noon-2 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at the University of Maine Hutchinson Center, 80 Belmont Ave.

The sessions, free and open to the public, are sponsored by the Waldo County Community Transportation Working Group and the UMaine Hutchinson Center.
