STOUGHTON, Mass. — Airstream, maker of the iconic “silver bullet” trailer has announced the opening of a new dealership, Airstream of New England, in Stoughton. Growing customer interest for Airstream in this market area — due in large part to New England’s numerous vacation destinations — prompted the company to expand in the Northeast with this new retail outlet, the company said in a press release.

Frank Lupacchino, owner of Airstream of New England, is an auto dealer whose businesses include the nearby Baystate Ford dealership.  After having much success renting RVs, Frank recognized the opportunity and turned to Airstream to enhance his sales and service operation. Airstream’s rich history and quality reputation, along with the company’s growth in 2010, made it an appealing option for Lupacchino.

“We believe there’s a pent-up demand for Airstream in this region and we are proud to be the newest member of Airstream’s dealer network” said Lupacchino. “Because Airstream and Ford are both pioneers in their respective industries, there was a natural synergy between the two iconic American brands.  We are confident Airstream of New England will be successful in this part of the country, and become as familiar to the region as our Ford dealership.”

Stoughton is equidistant to beaches of Cape Cod and the mountains of New Hampshire.  Thus, the area provides vast backdrops for camping and exploring, ideal for Airstream’s largest consumer segment, the outdoor enthusiast.

The brand’s unique spirit and style is also attractive to two other distinct consumer groups:  retirees who have the time and resources to travel and young creative professionals who covet the brand’s patented design.

The dealership is located at 1776 Washington Street, Stoughton 02072 and can be reached by phone (781)344-3500.
