Outlook: The Black Bears hope to keep the bats pinging after a productive weekend in a three-game America East sweep at Albany. UMaine, which piled up 45 runs and 50 hits against the Great Danes, has won seven in a row and 12 of its last 14. The Huskies of the Colonial Athletic Association have dropped seven of their last 11 contests. Northeastern, coached by 26-year veteran Neil McPhee, has had two straight nonleague games canceled by rain. UMaine has boosted its team batting average to .286, while NU checks in at .262. The Huskies have a 4.46 team ERA.
