BANGOR, Maine — A Bangor man fooling around on his motorcycle as he drove through town was stopped by an unmarked Maine State Police car and ended up in jail, said Trooper Chris Hashey.
“He was popping wheelies down Main Street and was doing 61 in a 25 zone,” he said.
Chad Pike, 26, was driving a 2007 Suzuki street bike when stopped near the intersection of Lincoln and Main streets.
Hashey had just left the Penobscot County Jail and was heading toward Interstate 395 when he noticed Pike, who was charged with criminal speed and raising a motorcycle front wheel off the surface of the roadway.
Hashey took Pike to jail “due to the dangerous speed,” he said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
