‘Little Things You Do Together: A Sondheim Revue’ to benefit Waterfall Arts

BELFAST — Waterfall Arts announced two nights of musical performance: “Little Things You Do Together: A Sondheim Revue” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 6-7, in the Fallout Shelter performance space.

The performances are a fundraiser for the arts organization to support its programs and activities. Organizers describe it as “an opportunity to showcase amazing local musical talent as well as to bring live performance of music theatre to Belfast. It is our delayed birthday tribute to Stephen Sondheim, arguably, the pre-eminent creative talent in musical theater today.”

Performers in the show are Charlie Grey, Dee Bielenberg, Erik Perkins, llyse Laurel, Kirk Moore, Kristen Burkholder, Mary Ann Valaitis Whaley, Morten Moesswilde, Nancy Riesgo, Ruth Gelsinger, Scott Anthony Smith and William Ryan. The program will include selections from some of Sondheim’s best-known shows as well as a few gems from his early career with solos, duets and three-group pieces. The singers and three accompanists will perform about 21 of Sondheim’s songs.

Admission is $10, $8 seniors and students. Refreshments and beverages will be available during intermission. Advance tickets may be ordered by calling Waterfall Arts at 338-2222 or stop by the office 256 High St. Tickets also are available at the Green Store, 71 Main St., and at the
