GARLAND — A beans and pasta supper will benefit Garland Grange Floor Refurbishing Fund and community service projects, 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 13, Garland Grange Hall, Oliver Hill Road. Menu includes baked beans, macaroni and cheese, homemade bread and desserts. All you can eat. Adults, $7; children ages 5-12, $3; children under age 5, free. Family rates and takeout available. GOULDSBORO — Bartlett Maine Estate Winery will open its tasting room for the 2011 season at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7. The tasting room is open 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays, June 7 through Columbus Day.

SOUTH PORTLAND — Taste of India, 2-8 p.m. Saturday, May 7, Sadhana meditation center, 100 Brickhill Ave. Begins with talk by Swami Tyagananda, a monk of the Ramakrishna Order, 2-4:30 p.m.; followed by festival of Indian foods, music, art, artifacts and activities at 5 p.m. Suggested donation:  $20 for Swami Tyagananda’s teaching and $10 for the Indian festival, or $25 for both.
