PORTLAND, Maine — The four members of Maine’s congressional delegation are praising the U.S. military raid in Pakistan that killed Osama Bin Laden.

Sen. Susan Collins said, “This welcome news is a credit to our intelligence efforts and brings justice” for the 9-11 attacks on the United States.

Sen. Olympia Snowe said Sunday marked “an historic and seminal moment for our nation and the world.”

U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud said bin Laden “has been brought to justice for the despicable attacks he organized against our country.”

And U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree said, “Justice has been served” and “we are grateful for the highly trained and effective intelligence and security forces that were able to hunt” him down.
