BANGOR, Maine — A Danbury, N.H., man was arrested at the Bangor Mall on Saturday after he allegedly stole a necklace from Sears.

Travis Morin, 23, was charged with theft, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Monday, citing a police report.

According to Edwards, the department store’s loss prevention staff saw Morin take a $99 necklace out of the store without paying for it. Morin reportedly headed toward Starbucks, where Officer Jamie Fanning had a brief conversation with him and then had a Sears employee identify him, Edwards said.
