Somerville man sentenced to 17 years for child pornography

PORTLAND, Maine — A 60-year-old Somerville man is going to prison for 17 years for possessing child pornography.

Matthew Clark was sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court in Portland. He was found guilty in January on two counts of possessing child pornography.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, child pornography was found on Clark’s computer and on cassette tapes at his home.

Clark was subject to a sentence of at least 10 years because of previous convictions for sex crimes involving minors. printed on April 27, 2017
