Late charge propels Saint Joseph’s baseball

STANDISH — Top-seeded Saint Joseph’s College used a nine-run eighth inning to rally past No. 4 Lasell College 13-9 in the Great Northeast Atlantic Conference quarterfinal baseball game Thursday afternoon.

Alex Lorenc and Mike Pratt each hit two-run home runs in the eighth for the Monks. Chris Campbell had a home run, four singles and scored two runs. Sam Butts tallied two singles, three RBIs and three runs, Todd Keneborus had a double, single and three RBIs and Ian Lee doubled with an RBI.

Conor Cavanaugh led Lasell with a home run, two doubles, two singles, four RBIs and three runs scored. William Uberti had a double, single and two runs scored.

The Monks will play winner of No. 3 Suffolk and No. 2 Johnson and Wales Saturday at 1 p.m. The Suffolk/Johnson & Wales game was postponed Thursday and is rescheduled for Friday at 2 p.m. in East Providence, R.I.
