Mother’s Day is coming up, and clearly, Mom deserves a treat. She works hard for you, doesn’t she? Mom deserves to sleep in. She should be greeted with hugs and comments on how beautiful she looks upon her emergence from the bedroom. And then, she should be treated to a lovely brunch somewhere — that she doesn’t have to cook or clean up.
Mother’s Day brunches are part of the holiday, and we here at the Bangor Daily News Living section are looking for your suggestions on the best places to eat brunch in eastern Maine. There are lots of different kinds of Moms, so there are lots of different kinds of brunches. Buffets, diners, Asian brunches, greasy spoons, high-end splurges, Mom and Pop restaurants, patio seating, whatever – where do you go on a weekend morning? Who’s got the best mimosa? Who makes amazing quiche?
Send your suggestions to eburnham@bangordailynews.com, and we’ll run a story the week of Mother’s Day. Now go give your Mom a smooch. It’ll make her day.
