Break-in at DOT garage in Guilford under investigation

By Diana Bowley, BDN Staff

GUILFORD, Maine —Thieves gained entry into a small Department of Transportation garage on Route 15 in Guilford over the weekend, police said.

A needle gun used to strip paint and a socket set were missing from the building, according to Sgt. Mike Gould of the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department.

The thieves ripped the door from its hinges to gain entry, Gould said. The main building was left untouched, he said.
