Police received several calls about a fight at Pickering Square on Monday afternoon involving three males and one was arrested after he refused to stop for an investigating officer, Sgt. Paul Edwards said.

Officer Chris Blanchard tried to stop Kawuan Lynn, 20, of North Berwick, but he would not stop and ended up being arrested for disorderly conduct and refusing to submit to arrest, the sergeant said.

The others involved in the fight “didn’t say why it was started or what it was about” and none wanted to press charges, Edwards said.

Bangor police were dispatched early Tuesday to a reported assault on Ohio Street, which was unfounded, but while there investigating they warned a man who was causing a disturbance at a nearby apartment to quiet down or be arrested, Sgt. Paul Edwards said on Tuesday.

Roland Devoe, 47, “kept going at it and was arrested for disorderly conduct,” the sergeant said. He was arrested just after 1:30 a.m. While police were investigating why Devoe was being so loud, they discovered that he had been fighting with his live-in girlfriend and also charged him with domestic violence assault, Edwards said.

Devoe was taken to Penobscot County Jail and remained there Tuesday night, a jail official said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)

A 38-year-old Bangor woman was charged late Monday after a Bangor man reported that she slashed his bicycle tires, Sgt. Paul Edwards said on Tuesday.

Deidre Smith was charged with criminal mischief at around 11:55 p.m. She was not arrested. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
