Hammond Street May Baskets to aid arts-crafts program

BANGOR, Maine — The Hammond Street Senior Center welcomes the public to stop by and purchase May Baskets to raise money for arts and crafts program. The seniors’ homemade baskets, filled with fudge, are on sale from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Friday, April 29, at the Senior Center, 2 Hammond St. in downtown Bangor.

Bangor Methodist church to serve bean supper

BANGOR, Maine — A heart-healthy bean supper will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at the First United Methodist Church, 703 Essex St. in Bangor. The super will benefit the missions of the church.

Orono High’s Class of 1964  announces 47th reunion

ORONO, Maine — Orono High School Class of 1964  will hold its 47th reunion at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Gillman Falls Avenue in Old Town. Class members will meet for the usual casual get-together at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 17, at Pat’s Pizza in Orono.

‘Helping Your Pet Age Gracefully’ topic at Sea Dog

BANGOR, Maine — The Friends of Kindred Spirits will present the second talk in the “Chat with the Vet” series, titled “Helping Your Pet Age Gracefully,” by Dr. Mark Hanks, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 30, at the Sea Dog Brewing Co. in Bangor.

Walk for Autism to take place at University College of Bangor
