Writer’s retreat, symposium May 18-21 at UMFK


FORT KENT, Maine — The University of  Fort Kent and the Aroostook Review will present MYTHiCRAFT: A Writer’s Retreat and Storytelling Symposium with the theme “Our Stories — Our Selves,”  May 18-21 on the university campus.

Blake Library fine amnesty-food drive planned on campus

FORT KENT, Maine — The Food Not Fines Weeks, part of a statewide fine amnesty-food drive coordinated by the Maine State Library, will be held at the Blake Library at the University of Maine at Fort Kent from April 27 through May 13.

Library patrons may return overdue library items in exchange for donations of nonperishable food. For more information, call 834-7527.

Scholars’ Symposium to showcase student achievements

FORT KENT, Maine — The University of Maine at Fort Kent will hold its second annual Scholars’ Symposium, “Culture, Conflict & Convergence,” at 9 a.m. Friday, April 29, in the Fox Auditorium.
