Elena was predeceased by her grandmother, Goldie Brantley of Queens, N.Y., and will be laid to rest with her. Elena lost her way in life at a young age, but she always had a heart for the Lord, as evidenced by the calls, cards and letters received throughout the years by her mom. Elena loved to laugh and smile, was an artist and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during holidays.
Left to grieve are her mother and father, Carrie and Randy Cronkite of Westfield; brothers, Keith Brantley of Washington state, Luis and sister-in-law, Margarita Lozada, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Christopher Lozada of Queens, N.Y.; and sister, Bethany Lozada of Bangor. Also left to mourn are grandfather, Burnett Brantley of Brooklyn, N.Y.; grandmother, Millie Cronkite of Presque Isle; aunt, Jewell Rogers of Brooklyn, N.Y.; uncle, Bernie Brantley of Houston; aunt, Celeste and uncle, Gary Bent, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; aunt, Donna Knight of Hyde Park, Ill.; and aunt, Terri and uncle, Don Brundage, of Presque Isle. A special niece, Gaisa Luna, and a host of cousins and friends will also miss her.
A celebration of Elena’s life and a memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Friday, April 29, at The Family Christian Center, 112 Caribou Road, Presque Isle.
