HERMON, Maine — The owner of a business on Daves Way reported Friday that personal items stored at the business had been stolen, Trooper Kyle Willette of the Maine State Police said.

The owner of D.L. Roope Administration Inc. reported $20,000 in personal property stolen at around 10:45 a.m., but that figure may be slightly overestimated, Willette said, adding that “it doesn’t appear the crime was associated with the business.”

Few details about the theft were released Friday, including what was taken, because of the investigation, the trooper said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
