Bangor man charged with illegal attachment of plates

By Dawn Gagnon, BDN Staff

BREWER, Maine — A Bangor motorist was charged with illegal attachment of plates Tuesday morning after he was pulled over by Brewer police.

Randall Simmons, 23, initially was stopped by Brewer police Cpl. Levi Sewall because his inspection sticker had expired last November, Lt. Christopher Martin said Thursday.

When Sewall ran his license plate number, however, he learned that it matched another vehicle Simmons owns but was not driving, Martin said. Illegal attachment of plates is a Class E misdemeanor.
