BELFAST, Maine — A Belfast woman was arrested Wednesday night after she allegedly stabbed her live-in boyfriend in the chest and hand.

Whitney Anderson, 38, was charged with aggravated assault and taken to Waldo County Jail, according to a news release issued by the Belfast Police Department.

Tracy Roadarmel, 44, suffered a stab wound to his left chest and what police say appeared to be several defensive wounds on his right hand. Roadarmel initially was taken to Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast but later was transferred to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

No further information about Roadarmel’s medical condition was available, an EMMC nursing supervisor said late Wednesday night.

According to investigators from the Belfast Police Department, Roadarmel called 911 at 5:29 p.m. to report he had been stabbed in the chest and the hand with a knife. He told a Waldo County emergency dispatcher that Anderson still was inside their home.

When officers arrived, the found Roadarmel in need of medical attention and called for an ambulance. An address for the incident was not immediately available.
