Brunswick man dies of burns suffered in February fire

BRUNSWICK, Maine — The Maine Fire Marshal’s office says a Brunswick man burned during a fire in his apartment in February has died.

Officials say 63-year-old Richard Rugg was hospitalized after the Feb. 16 fire swept his apartment after he had been cooking. Rugg suffered severe burns to more than half of his body.

He died Sunday at the Maine Medical Center in Portland.
