Police investigate stabbing of 2 men in Auburn

AUBURN, Maine – Police are investigating the stabbing of two men here early this morning.

According to a press release from the Auburn Police Department, at about 5:45 a.m. police responded to 251 Minot Ave. for a report of a fight in progress. The building at that address, near Rotary Street, is a 12-unit apartment building.

When they arrived, two men were involved in “some type of altercation,” according to Deputy Chief Jason Moen.

Mohamed Abdulkarim, 26, of Portland was transported to Central Maine Medical Center where he was treated for facial injuries and then released.

Mohamed Ali Bile, 26, of Lewiston also was transported to CMMC, where he was treated for a stab wound to his shoulder. He was listed in satisfactory condition Tuesday afternoon.

According to Moen, police are investigating the circumstances of the fight. No charges have been filed.
