Big Brother Lee Emmons of South Bristol and his Little Brother Zach Smith of Newcastle were recognized as the Community-Based Match of the Year.

A special “Never Miss Life” award was given to Big Sister Kay Liss of Jefferson and her Little Sister ArizonaLee Crooker of Jefferson. The award was given in memory of Little Sister Jessi Breault of Knox, who with her mother died in a car accident earlier this year.

Five matches were recognized for being matched four years or more.

In addition to the awards presentation, participants used the YMCA rock climbing wall, main pool, gymnasium and play gym for the evening. Refreshments for the event were provided by Dominos, Pizza Hut and Tim Hortons of Rockland.
