Landry helps Husson men’s lacrosse beat UM-Farmington

BANGOR — Junior Ben Landry scored four goals and assisted on two others in powering Husson University to a 12-3 men’s lacrosse victory over the University of Maine-Farmington Wednesday afternoon.

Tony Diaz recorded two goals and an assist for the 4-8 Eagles while Ethan Pratt and Alex Ryan each added two goals. Ben Potter and Dillon Shaw both scored a goal and Matt Sweeney provided an assist.

Mike Foley scored two goals and Tennessee Peters had the other for the 3-3 Beavers.

John Hooper turned away three of nine shots for Husson while UMF’s Ben Altmaier made 12 saves against 35 shots.

Maine Maritime 17, Thomas 1

At Castine, Christopher Keiley, Andrew DiSalvo and Tom Houle recorded hat tricks as Maine Maritime Academy cruised past Thomas College of Waterville.

Brian Corain had two goals and three assists for the 3-3 Mariners while Alex Hermes and Wade Mondoux also scored two goals. Nick Lund and Todd Murphy scored singled goals. DiSalvo logged five assists while Keiley and Houle each had two assists. Erik Milles saved seven of eight shots.

Bradley Stiles scored off a Gunnar Shelton assist with 5:34 left in the fourth to avoid the shutout for the 2-6 Terriers. Jesse Morkeski turned away 15 of 32 shots.
