15-year-old Lewiston Middle School student stabbed, injuries not life-threatening

LEWISTON, Maine – A 15-year-old Lewiston Middle School student suffered several stab wounds early Wednesday morning during an encounter with several other people on Blake Street.

The wounded boy, who has not been identified by police, was injured around 1 a.m. after he left his apartment on Blake Street. According to police, he got involved in an altercation with several male subjects and was stabbed several times with a small knife.

The teen told police he cannot identify his attackers and is not sure why the fight started.

His injuries are not life-threatening, and he was treated and released from Central Maine Medical Center early Wednesday.
