BANGOR — “Get Shot in Downtown Bangor” community fashion photo shoot, 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, and Thursday, April 14, throughout downtown and starting at West Market Square, Broad Street. People are encouraged to get in touch with their inner models, dress up and walk the streets of downtown. Photographers James Daigle and Tim Smith will roam the streets to capture Bangor’s street styles. The photos will be shown at River City Cinema’s fashion show featuring Bella Luna’s local designers and the screening of the documentary “Bill Cunningham New York” at 7 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Union Street Brick Church, 126 Union St. Call 745-1202.

DEER ISLE — Haystack Mountain School of Crafts’ opening reception for an exhibition of student and faculty work from this year’s Student Mentor Program, 3-5 p.m. Friday, April 15, at Haystack’s Center for Community Programs in Deer Isle village. The Deer Isle-Stonington High School jazz combo, Route 15, and jazz choir will perform 4-5 p.m. The exhibition will remain on view until April 29. Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. GORHAM — University of Southern Maine’s Bachelor of Fine Arts students’ art exhibit open to the public April 15-May 6 at the Art Gallery on the Gorham campus. Opening reception 6-8 p.m. April 15.
