Kindergarten registration April 15 for Sullivan, Sorrento, Franklin

SULLIVAN, Maine — Registration for children 5 years old on or before Oct. 15 who will enter kindergarten from the towns of Sullivan, Sorrento and Franklin will be held by appointment only Friday, April 15.  A registration informational meeting for parents will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at Mountain View School, 542 Bert Gray Road in Sullivan. Comedian’s performance to benefit Union Ambulance Service

WALDOBORO, Maine — The Union Ambulance Service will present a benefit performance by comedian Karmo Sanders at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in the Medomak Valley High School Auditorium in Waldoboro.

The fundraiser will support the ambulance service’s community outreach and Christmas giving programs. Advance ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for students and are obtainable at the Union town office or call 785-3803.

MERI offers classes on ocean’s food webs, Earth Day

BLUE HILL, Maine — The Marine Environmental Research Institute will hold two classes during April vacation from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 19, and Thursday, April 21, at the institute, 55 Main St. in Blue Hill.
