HALLOWELL — Volunteers are needed to teach Living Well for Better Health workshops to train people to help others better manage health conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, heart disease and depression, among others. Volunteers attend free, four-day training sponsored by Spectrum Generations. Leaders do not need to have experience working in the health field. The next leader training will be held 9 a.m.-4 p.m. April 20, 21, 26 and 27, at Cohen Community Center in Hallowell. OLD TOWN — Shoes n’ Shears 4-H Club plans to visit residents between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday, April 16, to collect returnable bottles as part of a fundraiser to help support scholarships for children who want to attend camps this summer but cannot afford it. If you would like to have someone stop by your home, please call 299-0563. Drop-off available at the YMCA Parking lot.
