Session to offer legal information for kinship families

BANGOR, Maine — Families and Children Together, 304 Hancock St., will present a legal informational session for kinship families at 9 a.m. Saturday at its office.

Bangor lawyers Amy Faircloth and Angela Farrell will explain guardianship, adoption and child protective procedures in the state’s probate and District courts.

The organization provides services to grandparents,  aunts, uncles and other relatives who are raising children of relatives. In addition to legal information, it also provides information referrals on financial and family challenges.
