An 8-year-old boy was injured Saturday afternoon at the University of Maine when the van he was riding in was struck by another vehicle, UM spokesman Joe Carr said on Monday. The youngster was taken by ambulance to a Bangor hospital.
Faith Morris, age unknown, of South Paris was driving a 2004 Nissan Titan on Long Road around 1:20 p.m. when she failed to stop at the junction with Rangeley Road and struck a 2004 Ford van driven by Bruno Dorismond, 25, of Sanford, according to police reports.
The boy, who was a passenger in Dorismond’s van, complained of upper body pain and was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. No charges are pending, Carr said.
