Preschool, kindergarten registration at Calais school


CALAIS, Maine — Calais elementary preschool and kindergarten registration for children 4-5 years of age on or before Oct. 15 will be held 7:30-11:30 a.m. and noon-3 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Calais Elementary School. Author Reid to sign books at Belfast gallery

BELFAST, Maine — A book signing with Van Reid, author of “The American Zig-Zag: Volume I,” will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at Beyond the Sea Gallery-Cafe, 74 Main St. in Belfast.

Waldoboro dinner, auction to benefit school gym, theater

WALDOBORO, Maine — The Coastal Christian School will hold a “Getaway To The Tropics” dinner and auction to benefit the CCS Gym-Theater Project  event at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at 574 North Nobleboro Road in Waldoboro. The goal is to raise awareness of the new gym-theater building project that should begin construction after the last snowfall and the ground is dry. This 100-by-80-foot addition to the existing school will greatly increase their size and ability to hold athletic events on-site.

Spudtacular Supper , auction in Northeast Harbor

NORTHEAST HARBOR, Maine — Bar Harbor Bank & Trust’s Relay for Life team “Banking on a Cure” will hold its annual Spudtacular Supper and silent auction 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at the Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor. Tickets are $6 a person and benefit the Relay for Life of Hancock County.

Harding memorial tournament at Kebo golf club in Bar Harbor

BAR HARBOR, Maine — The Bar Harbor Bank & Trust 18th annual David R. Harding Memorial Golf Tournament will take place at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Kebo Valley Golf Club in Bar Harbor. This annual charity tournament by Bar Harbor Bank & Trust benefits Island Connections.
