HALLOWELL, Maine — Hundreds of Maine hockey players and their supporters are urging the owner of a Hallowell skating rink to rebuild the facility that was damaged when heavy snow caved in the roof.

The collapse displaced numerous hockey and skating organizations.

Rink co-owner Peter Prescott says a decision to rebuild hasn’t been made because details are being worked out with the insurance company.

The Kennebec Journal says proceeds raised by Sunday’s rally would go toward any effort to rebuild a rink.
