ROCKLAND — Local magician Rick Bernard will perform feats of magic at 6 p.m. Friday, April 8, in the South School’s Multi-Purpose Room. Admission is $2, $5 per family. Donations also will be accepted. Refreshments and raffles will be available, including a chance to win a half-priced birthday party performance by Bernard.
This family event is being organized by Team Brian, a team of family and friends put together by local mother Heather St. Clair. Team Brian has been participating in the Autism Society of Maine’s annual walk for five years. Team Brian has grown from an original count of eight members to last year’s 46 participants. This is the second year Team Brian has had a fundraiser event during Autism Awareness Month (April) to raise even more funds to donate to the Autism Society of Maine. Proceeds from the magic show will be part of Team Brian’s donation to the society when it participates in the walk on May 1.
