OXFORD, Maine — The Nateva Music and Camping Festival, scheduled to be held Aug. 4-7 at the Oxford Fairgrounds, has been canceled, according to a Friday news release.
“Slower than predicted ticket sales and the very crowded summer festival schedule contributed to the festival organizers decision to cancel,” the release stated.
“In the end, it’s all about being able to put forth a first rate event that everyone can be proud of and that our customers can enjoy. We just don’t have the confidence to go forward at this time,” the release quoted Frank Chandler, the festival’s founder, as saying.
Customers who have already purchased tickets using their credit cards will automatically receive refunds.
