Portland, Maine – Last week, twenty-five oncology nurses representing 11 facilities in six Maine counties received nearly $20,000 in scholarships from the Maine Cancer Foundation to attend the annual Oncology Nurse Society Congress in Boston in late April. Attendance at this conference will ensure that participants will have the most up-to-date information available and give them the opportunity to collaborate with nurses from around the country.
Nurses from Waldo County General Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Central Maine Medical Center, PenBay Healthcare, Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, Southern Maine Medical Center, Maine Medical Center, Maine Center for Cancer Medicine, Mercy Hospital, University of Southern Maine and Parkview Oncology are among the scholarship recipients.
