Wild rice the focus of UMFK discussion

FORT KENT — The University of Fort Kent will host a discussion on the conservation biology and ecology of wild rice with Dr. Anthony Kern at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, in Nadeau Hall teleconference room.  Dr. Kern is associate professor of biology at Northland College in Ashland, Wisc. Mothers Against Drunk Driving walk set in Houlton

HOULTON — The second annual Walking like M.A.D.D. — remembering Darcie C. Hutchinson walk is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at the Houlton High School parking lot.
