BANGOR — The Hammond Street Congregational Church (HSCC) Marketplace will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Saturday, April 9, corner of Hammond and High streets. BANGOR — As a benefit fundraiser for the Maine Fiddle Camp Scholarship Fund, the 2011 Penobscot County Fiddlers’ Showcase will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Bangor Grange Hall, 1192 Ohio St. , featuring acoustic string performers with ties to Penobscot County; followed by contradance. $10 per person or $30 per family. TOPSHAM — Maine Fiberarts free and open to the public open house reception with Brunswick artist Barbara Taylor 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 10. As part of the reception, a gallery talk on “Resources for Clothing Design, Patterns, Fabrics and Sashiko Stitching,” 2:30-3 p.m. and is a chance to meet the artist. Maine Fiberarts Center Gallery, 13 Main St. Workshop on making a patchwork jacket available for a fee on April 30.

DAMARISCOTTA — The Maine Craft Association’s midcoast regional meeting to be held 1-3 p.m. Sunday, April 3, River Arts, 170 Main St. is on the theme of Opportunities for Craft Artists with speaker Lynn Thompson, special projects coordinator for the craft association.
