Outlook: The Black Bears finally return to action, this time on the banks of the Hudson River. UMaine is looking to develop some confidence with the America East schedule slated to begin April 9. The Bears eye more consistency both from their pitchers and among the regulars in the lineup. UMaine has dropped four of its last six games. FDU has dropped three in a row and eight of its last nine. The Knights of the Northeast Conference have a .287 team batting average and a 7.85 ERA. St. Peter’s has lost 12 straight. The Peacocks, who play in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, are hitting only .252 overall and are averaging only 3.6 runs. Their team ERA is solid at 5.24.
