AUGUSTA, Maine — In the inaugural episode of “Inside the Blaine House,” the new TV show from the governor’s office, Maine Gov. Paul LePage talked restrictions — specifically, on the movie industry.

The governor said there are at least five movies interested in filming in Maine but won’t because of the cost of doing so.

“There are two movies set in Maine, which could be filmed in North Carolina,” LePage said. “What better advertising for the state than having Maine serve as a backdrop for these movies.”

The show, hosted by Kim Lindlof, president of the Mid Maine Chamber of Commerce, airs every other week on Time Warner Cable Channel 9 and is available online each week at printed on June 29, 2017
