Notaries to hold education conference in Bangor on April 21

BANGOR, Maine — Informed Notaries of Maine will hold the 18th annual Notary Education Conference from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the Spectacular Event Center, 395 Griffin Road in Bangor.

The conference includes a variety of topics such as: wedding instructions-tips, an update on Maine notary law, signing agent and mobile notary information, identification techniques and more. Registration for the conference is $60 for INM members, $70 for nonmembers, or a special rate of $80 for the conference plus INM membership. A buffet lunch is included in the cost of registration. Penquis board seeks candidates for Piscataquis committee

BANGOR, Maine — The board of directors of Penquis is seeking candidates interested in serving on the Piscataquis County Steering Committee as representatives of low-income residents living in Piscataquis County.

Cultural development panel to accept grant applications from nonprofits

BANGOR, Maine — The Commission on Cultural Development accepts grant applications from nonprofit arts and cultural organizations on a quarterly basis. These funds support  a variety of arts and cultural programs in the community.

Bangor senior center lists menu for April Fools’ breakfast

BANGOR, Maine — The Hammond Street Senior Center will hold an April Fools’ Day Breakfast 8-10 a.m., Friday, April 1, at 2 Hammond St. in Bangor. Fields Pond Audubon group to discuss ‘Birder’s Year’
