STOCKHOLM, Maine — Police say two men suffered broken legs when they rode their snowmobile into the path of a car in northern Maine.

According to WABI-TV, 32-year-old Jason Gillis of Pittsfield and a passenger were riding on a snowmobile trail in Stockholm when they failed to stop where the trail crosses a local road.

Police say a car was unable to stop and struck the machine when it crossed in its path. Nobody in the car was injured.
