NEWPORT, Maine — A Dixmont man who apparently thought he evaded the attention of employees at Bud’s Shop ‘n Save found out he was wrong Friday.
Jason Harvey, 32, was summoned for theft after a store manager observed him allegedly trying to steal items from the store’s personal hygiene section, according to Newport police Lt. Randy Wing.
After paying for some groceries, Harvey went back into the store to retrieve prescriptions from the pharmacy.
“While he was there he decided to help himself to some health and beauty aids,” said Wing.
Harvey was not arrested.
